RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist the business goals of the insurance agency with mutually agreed upon expectations.
- Provide assistance to our sales and service team members. Duties may may include:
- answering phones
- update policyholders contact information
- work our beginning of day reports where additional information is needed
- scan and attach documents as needed
- provide evidence of insurance from lenders and mortgage companies
- assist policyholders in registering on statefarm.com
- answer billing questions and collect and enter payments
- contact prospects or policyholders to schedule appointments for our sales and service team
- contacting prospects to gather information to hand off to our sales team
- collect claim information to share with our licensed team members
- collect renewal payments
- other duties as they arise
QUALIFICATIONS:
- To be eligible for an internship, you must be a full-time student currently enrolled in an undergraduate or post-graduate program throughout the duration of the internship.
- Coursework or expressed interest in areas such as Insurance, Financial Services, Real Estate, Marketing, etc.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, as well as operate independently.
- Effective customer service and interpersonal skills, including the ability to create, build, and maintain relationships with internal and external parties.
- Prioritization, time management, and organizational skills to meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
Compensation: $16.00 per hour

About Our Agency
- We help customers with their insurance and financial services needs, including Auto Insurance, Home Insurance, Life Insurance, Business Insurance, Health Insurance, and Renters Insurance.
- Our office is located in Somerset in north Ames. .
- Our office is open 8 to 5:30 M-TH, F 8:00 to 4:00 (evenings and Saturdays by appointment).
- I have been a State Farm agent since 1995.
- We currently have 5 team members at our agency.
