Position Overview

We are an Ames based State Farm Insurance Agency looking to hire an energetic, goal driven and highly competitive individual who loves working with the public. Someone who is a "hunter at heart" who has no fear of contacting new customers to generate interest in State Farm products. If you aspire to some day run your own business, we will assist in developing your business leadership skills, State Farm business acumen, as well as sales and marketing experience. This development and mentoring can lead you in the right direction to better prepare you for a potential career as a State Farm agent if that is a path you choose to go. Responsibilities:

Outbound contact with potential customers through phone, text and email.
Develop leads, schedule appointments, identify customer needs, and market appropriate products and services.
Use a customer-focused, needs-based review process to educate customers about insurance options.
Maintain a strong work ethic with a total commitment to success each and every day.
Meet or exceed goals we establish for you.

Compensation: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year

About Our Agency

We help customers with their insurance and financial services needs, including Auto Insurance, Home Insurance, Life Insurance, Business Insurance, Health Insurance, and Renters Insurance.
Our office is located in Somerset in north Ames. .
Our office is open 8 to 5:30 M-TH, F 8:00 to 4:00 (evenings and Saturdays by appointment).
I have been a State Farm agent since 1995.
We currently have 5 team members at our agency.
